Welcome To My Website
Hi! I'm Beckey. I am blessed to call Stratford Upon Avon, in England, my home. I was born in West London and grew up in the Midlands, but moved to Stratford-upon-Avon with my husband in 2005 and we absolutely love it! I have been married to my best friend, Paul since 2001 and we have two wonderful teenagers. I am a Christian, and my faith shapes all that I am and everything that I do.
I love life and laughter, helping people and being creative; but I also face daily battles with my health, including Fibromyalgia, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Hypermobility, Scoliosis (with full spinal fusion) Chronic Fatigue, Autism, ADHD, and I won't bore you with the rest!

My background is quite eclectic; I studied at the University of Birmingham for my degree in Community and Youth Work and went on to work as a Youth Minister for several churches. Since our children came along and my health gradually worsened, I realised I needed to adapt, so I re-trained as a cake decorator and ran a small home business for a few years and later became an exam invigilator. I have now had to give up paid work altogether, but I still keep busy whenever I am able. I am a high school governor, town centre chaplain, member of my church PCC, running a couple of community support groups, maintaining a few websites, dabbling in graphic design (for which I finally trained online during lockdown) and editing... oh, and being a wife and mum!

In May 2018, I realised there was a huge need for a local support group for people with Fibromyalgia, so I put my community work experience to task and started one. Stratford Fibro Friends grew much quicker and became much bigger than I had expected, and is now well established as a local FMAUK affiliated support group. We now also advertise for ME/cfs sufferers too, as there is a lot of crossover. If you would like more information about this group, please click HERE

We have been on a difficult journey, as parents, over the past few years, discovering our own children's Autism and ADHD, as well as my own. We have had many battles and have faced many hurdles in getting the help and support that our children desperately needed. We quickly recognised that there were a lot of other parents 'out there', experiencing the same struggles, isolation and desperate for support. So, after completing my level 2 in 'Understanding Autism' in 2004, I set up a local support group for parents of neurodiverse teenagers. My intention is not to re-invent the wheel in any way, or do anyone else's job for them, but merely to provide parents going through a similar experience, the opportunity to connect with each other, realise that they are not alone, and to share experiences, tips and resources. It is so much easier to make it through the tough times in life when you can share the burden and know that you are not alone. If you want to find out more, Please click HERE
Finally, I do a lot of graphic design and digital scrapbooking as a hobby (as it's mostly do-able from my laptop in bed!). I also love to make greetings cards. If you are interested to see some of my designs, click HERE
I don't currently publish or sell them commercially, but if you would like a bespoke card for a special occasion, please feel free to contact me, and I will help if I can. Similarly, if you need a new logo or need a specific image designed for something, do get in touch. I always love a new challenge and will always help if I am able.
